So we got are first few wheeled coach chevy ambulances I was just wondering how other people were liking them. I think the front is a little smaller but I like them for the most part.

I used to work for DHL and the boss had Chevy Vans for us,compaired to the fords the chevys are more rounded off and do have a little less space. As for the cab area the chevy is deffinetly smaller than the ford.Compairing things in my head between the chevys and fords mind you.
We just received one at work... i have only seen it up close i have yet to work in it. but to me it seems the space between the stretcher and the bench seat is less than desireable, and the backrest for the bench seat is curved inwards... so i guess if you were a hunchback it would be optimal, but for us normal people im not sure how that will feel. but like i said i have yet to work in one so who knows, maybe my opinion will change?!
we just got a van style for 911 work and are getting 4 box style for transport. the van looks little, havn't worked in it yet. i'll keep ya posted with my opinion
Just before I quite working on the truck, the ems dept I worked for had just received 3 Chevy type-3s and from the little bit of time I got to spend on one I thought that they were awesome trucks, I do seem to like the fords better but I guess that's because I've been on a since I started in ems and have always been a ford fan, but after all the engine problems they have had( it seems we have heard the most stories and cases of it here in Tenn and surrounding states) I was kinda of excited to get the new chevys and they seem to be really good truck. Stay safe out there. Chris MVFD1149
I like the New Chevy boxes for 911 way more quiet and faster than the Fords. Plus they seem to handle better
We have Wheeled Coach Ford ambulances. Which I believe are slightly more roomy in the cab than the Chevy models, but I like them just fine. We used to have International ambulances (the big ones), and I always thought they were too big. The Wheeled Coach ambulances are mush more manueverable. Stay safe!
I'm not aware of the emissions problem yet, I'll have to ask about that.
That's not good news considering we have 3 of them!
the place where i work part time just got two type 3 the front is fine but there is not any room in the back
So far our Fords are working just fine.
The service I work for just bought several chevys to replace several fords. The only real problem we've had with them that I can tell is the same one we've had with the fords. A complete lack of maintenance. But thats an issue with my service and not the ambulance. The fords are a little bigger in the back, but the chevy has a little more room in the front, which is important for me since I'm practically sitting in the dashboard.
