A couple of years ago I switched to a pair of 10" leather front zipper fire boots, and now my feet don't hurt nearly as badly as with the old rubber boots. I'll never go back to rubber. What do you wear?

I have a Fire store and sell the LaCrosse (made at the Danner Factory) 14" Gunnerson FF Boot, w/Kevlar top, Crosstech fabric. Made in the USA, Part #129010. Great Fit, comfortable boots which
hold up under the gun. Our local PPE repair guys says, he sees few of this brand in for repairs.

If youdecide to go with these check them out at our online store; www.westcoastfirestore.com, then call and we will give you 10% off as a Firefighter Nation member!

Thanks, John

We were wearing the Pro warrington boots, but last year we tested all the boots out there (globe, pro's, thorogood, lacrosse, airboss, etc.) and the overwhelming choice by all of our group was the airboss cbrn boot. Its as comfortable as the pro or globe, but protected better (hazmat, cold, heat, ankles, "slipperiness", you name it). May not be your run of the mill brand out there yet, but i can guarantee that if you try it, you'll adopt it.
Leather all the way
I have always heard leather boots are the way to go. But as of yet have not purchased a pair. What would you all recommend. And where is a good place to get them.
Leather is the way to go. I have had leather for a couple years & they're the best.
Hey Brothers, I wear the Warrington Pro Model 5000 with my turnouts and the 8" zip front boots while on duty!
Like the other departments in our area, once you try the airboss cbrn boot, you'll never want any other boot. We switched to the airboss (I think they call it the boss) and have never looked back. The only people that we know of that haven't bought them in our neck of the woods are the ones that haven't tried them. We had the lacrosse leather before, but the airboss was the choice of more than 90% of our guys when we tested them.
Does it really fit like a leather?
the new globe magnum leather fire boots are the most comfortable boots on the market right now with plenty of protection....i had a pair of good ole rubbers for 2 years then a pair of black diamonds i thought were great until my company got everyone new gear and boots in a grant and we got these boots....with or without the inserts that globe gives you with every pair they feel like sneakers....the only downside is this big yellow and silver reflector on both sides....but you can hide it with your turnout pants
I have had a pair of leather boots since the company "Rico" made them. And then went on to the Warrington Pro. I have used the pull ups and station boots and have not had any problems with my ankles or feet. Like everybody has said its like wearing sneakers at work!! I have bought 3 things in my career, 1 being a leather helmet,2 a Survior Streamlight, and my Warrington Pro boots!!
I have leather pull ons that my department issued and i love them. they are just like wearing my redwing loggers. ive found that they make climbing on and off apparatus and working on a scene much easier
Rubber boots. I ain't a fan of leather. But I am not going to say I won't wear them. There fine boots but I kinda like the rubber ones right now.
