Ohio voters overwhelmingly rejected (62 to 38 percent) conservative attempts to castrate unions and collective bargaining, Closely watched nationwide, this vote signifies a swing back towards the middle, towards normalcy and to protecting workers rather than targeting them. Right on Ohio!

A special THANKS! to the Brother and Sisters in Ohio.
Way to go Ohio. Hopefully this is a very loud message to the rest of our Nation.
Let's follow that up with a successful recall of scooter walker here in Wisconsin!
Way to Go OHIO! A much deserved THANK YOU for all those that voted to help protect American workers in the face of an advertising campaign 18 million dollars strong! Firefighters, Law Enforcement, and EMS members do what we do because we love people, protecting their lives and property, and it is nice to have our commitment to them demonstrated back to all of us. I wish my home state of Wisconsin had that much integrity and guts!
The Ohio voters listened and responded to their firefighters with their votes because of an unfair attack on employee rights and worker safety. The people that could have been affected included public and private sector workers and employees, police officers, firefighters, teachers and nurses. This was a very emotional issue that sent a very clear message to not limit collective bargaining for 350,000 unionized public workers.
The thing that is so glaringly obvious to me is once they strip away the Union Collective Bargaining rights of public workers it is not a huge leap to do the same to ALL workers. People in Ohio saw the big picture of fairness and what is right.
