My department is looking into purchasing some Genesis air bags and struts. The department is looking at purchasing Genesis mostly because they seem to be the lowest priced. Does anyone have any experience with Genesis Air Bags and Struts? Any pros, cons, or other comments?

Never used their air bags, but LOVE their tools. On their website it looks like they sell MatJack airbags which are a pretty well known name. I'm partial to the Paratech bags as that's all I've ever used. Used the Genesis struts in my Rescue Tech class. They aren't bad but I am a much bigger fan of the Rescue 42 struts.

What do a set of the Genesis Kodiak struts cost these days?

When we purchased the Rescue 42s we looked at the Genesis, Paratech, ResQJack, Rescue 42, and a few other manufacturers. It was an easy decision for us as the Rescue 42's looked to be the most durable, easiest to use, and just pretty much firefighter proof. Big pins, attachments, etc that are easy to operate with fire or extrication gloves on. Paratechs are very nice, but very expensive and unless you do trench or collapse rescue, I couldn't see justifying the cost.
Thanks for the input. The quote I got for the Genesis Kodiak Struts was for $1700.00. Also got a quote for the Hurst Quik Strut for about $1800.00. The Hurst struts look kind of cumbersome, but I'd like to see them in person. The Hurst dealer also gave me a quote for Hurst Vetter bags that looks about the same as the paratech quote I received. I'd like to know how you feel about those. Any other input you can give me wold be greatly appreciated.
