Just want to hear Opinions on forcing entry on roll down gates. More specifically, roll down gates with hockey puck style locks encased with steel.......
We developed an entire training program for my department based on cutting roll-up doors. We built a roll-up door prop and acquired over 100 doors from a local mini-storage warehouse that replaced all of their doors.
We also developed a mini-storage warehouse fire training program that included basic lock and door entry techniques.
We teach cutting inspection holes, the triangle cuts, box cuts, and the Inverted L/West Coast cuts to all of our firefighters. We also involved a neighboring department so our tactics for roll-up doors are standardized.
Good to know. I had assumed that it was mostly laminated glass used in those store fronts. Thank you for the insight, and I retract my previous statement.
