Defender Visor

Hello everybody. I'm thinking of upgrading my Cairns 1010 with a defender visor. what do you think, is it worth the money?

I have just puchased a 1044 with the defender in it and yes it does hit the bridge of your nose but nothing should ever get in your eyes with it down. The helmet is better balanced without the visor on top. With me my other helmet had the visor outside the helmet i have gone through 3 of them in a year so this should stop me breaking the stupid things.

I got my 1044 with the defender visor last year, and i love it, i too love the bourkes, and put them on my helmet. I am about tradition, and the bourkes show the tradition. And then you wear the dv and its added protection. I personally never had a problem with my dv in regards with my nose. But then again you aren't suppost to dig them into your face. i have to leave a bit of air room, due to fogging. Other than the fogging they work great, and i know where my eye protection allways is

the fire department im on just switched to the cairns traditional 1010 defender visor--I personally have not used it yet-but the other guys in the dept. wished they had the regular shield back cause they said the heat is more on your face.

no problem, thats what we're here for...and they dont come from the factory with the dv and bourkes... so you have to put them on yourself...

WE CAN NOT WEAR THEM IN OUR DEPT TOO MANY PROBLEMS... I THINK WE HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT WE ARE PROTECTING OUR EYES AND AS MUCH FACE AS WE CAN... SO GIVE ME ALL YOU CAN...

They are nose breakers. If you have it down and hit your helmet hello bloody nose. We tried them and there is no way I would want one.
