The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs’ (CAFC)  is bringing a proposal to the Canadian Government  to introduce a $3,000 income tax credit for volunteer firefighters. The following is from the website http://givefirefighterscredit.ca/ . Ninety one per cent of Canadian Fire Departments are staffed by volunteer firefighters. That’s more than 3,200 Canadian communities. On average, each volunteer firefighter gives their community 443 hours of service a year, or the equivalent of 60 days of work. While they may be volunteers in name, their training and the services they provide are highly professional. In no other emergency first-responder service do volunteers play such a significant role. Please Visit http://givefirefighterscredit.ca/  and show your support by signing the petition. Thanks

Hi CAFC, I have visited your website, It was good. Services and training you provide are really good. Thanks.Factoring Company
I believe that I read on a posting at my hall that it was not going to include actuall firecalls or training Just that for paid public education time And you had tohave x amount of hours to qualify.Which in our case we are not paid for that so it is rendered useless so it's a great idea if it includes what we are actually paid for.
Wow, I thought we were doing good in Delaware getting $400. I'm moving to Toronto..or somewhere close.....
That would be kind of a waste
we do not do much public education - well any for that matter
we are a combination department and our Career guys do that
