U.S. Fire Administration

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official line of duty death of Captain James Von Roden, 49, of the Lee Community Volunteer Fire Department on March 12, 2011.

Captain Von Roden was responding to the fire station for an outdoor fire call when he collapsed from a cause still under investigation. Captain Von Roden was transported to a local hospital where he passed away from his injury.
