It's not uncommon to see American flags on fire apparatus.

On uniforms...

or even stickers, patches and badges.

Question 1 • Is the USA flag something that your department includes on your uniform and/or fire apparatus?

Question 2 • If you are not from the USA, does your department displays their countries flags the same as we do in the USA?

Q1- NO

Q2- NO

I guess we know where we're from and don't need the flag to confirm it???? :-)
(We have a name tag in case we forget our name though....)
we have them on our engines, uniforms, and bunker jackets.
I forgot to mention that our bunker coats have our FD patch in one shoulder and the U.S. flag on the other. Stay safe!
And since I'm half German, I've got a Geman flag opposite the U.S. flag on my helmet.
im volunteer and their are flags on ours and on our gear
Yes
During my 17 yrs as a vol.firefighter I served with 2 different Depts. Both depts had dress uniforms and yes both depts proudly displayed our country"s flag.
We are proud to show the colors of our country!

we have them on uniforms, shirts and trucks. i have read stories about departments that "didnt want to offend others" (post 9-11) and removed them from trucks to the objection of the firefighters. i took offence at that and wrote a letter. i believe that dispaly of the flag demsostrates a unity of patriotism shared by a group and individual. (hope that was not too corney of a discription) i love our county, we aint perfect but we get the job done
we have the flag on our trucks, uniforms (station & A's) and bunker gear ,,,, and on all my POV's and if it offends anyone, to bad ,,,, volunteer depts. should get something for those special times to let everyone know who you are and maybe to wear if you have a detail at you station, lets the public know who you are ,,,, if at a minimum, the brands to wear if you wanna buy your own, that way everyone that has uniforms looks the same ,,,,
we include the flag on our uniforms. i would like to see it on our trucks.
We have the Canadian flag on our bunker gear... but usually a little smaller than the U.S. flags I see on bunker gear.

My department has the Maple Leaf incorporated into our department logo.

We have a 9/11 memorial sticker on one of our trucks.

The airbase where our war dead are returned home to is in our county... and that is the starting location for our "Highway of Heros". Our trucks have a stickers of the highway marker sign that is along the route that goes to the Coronor's office in Toronto.

But we are not as "Gung-Ho" about using our flag as we could be... many think we should wave our flag more... myself included.

But then we remember that TACKY incident involving Canada's "FIRST Fire Truck":

:)
So we try to not over-do-it nowadays.
