we are at 7000 ft msl in the mountains. all of my homes are in the WUI surrounded by National Forest. We do initial attack in and out of district. All my firefighters have S-130/190 but only a few can handle the pack test so we are limited on national forest land for extended attacked. We have provided tanker support and will do structure protection in my district. We occasionally train and continuously meet with USFS fire personnel.
don't know if you can really call them "mountains" but the terrain sure is rugged!

Here in NW PA we really only have hills. Some are just bigger than others.I am a volunteer Forest Fire Warden with the PA Bureau of Forestry.I have 15 people on my roster and they all have had 130/190.Working on getting some to take the pack test this year.We do mostly local (our Twp. and MA stations).Love the wildland stuff.
