Hey bone head...Have you ever tried to put out 20,000 bales of hay...?? Yup, spontaneous combustion occurs when they put wet hay compressed into storage...heat builds up until.....well, you get the idea....I know even a bone box rider can understand that one.....LOL
Damn it you went and said the "Q" word....Look out.!!!Human excrement is about to strike the oscillating blades...!!!
got the dinner and the time, ok people let the tone's drop, im ready again...lol
I'm off today, but had a rough one the other day. We weren't in the fire house all day. I think we had about 25 runs. I never ate lunch because we didn't have time. We didn't clean up breakfast until dinner time.
And people think we sit around and play cards!
Commercial structure fire where a large amount of corn is stored....As the corn heated up by the fire it began to pop and we had popcorn raining down on us like snow. A probie firefighter thought it really was snow and had to be treated for hypothermia!
Wow - after reading this I am definitely feeling guilty for my quiet weekend! It's firefighters like you that inspired me to do what I do today, and strive to be better every day! Thanks brother!!
Theresa? No need to feel guilty - just enjoy the lack of calls! (That lack means nobody was being hurt!)

As it's now Monday afternoon, I can safely say that we had a marvelous call-free weekend. The pager didn't make any noise at all ;o)
Agreed!! We did have a huge structure fire last night, but we were at a concert. The crew that did respond rocked it out though! And no one was hurt in the process. So - Amen. Where are you that it is Monday afternoon?
