I think you will get them Chief...eventually! A fire dept. in a nother county next to us gets $250,000 grants yearly. They only spend it on PPE, appearel and other things that arent really important to the fire protection service.
Yes that would be nice. You do they same.

I'm assuming this is a typo? In order for a fire department to be able to fight fires and cheat death, they have to ensure that anyone responding is properly outfitted with PPE. Do you have any idea how expensive that is?

Do a little research and see how much this stuff costs. Depending on the number of FF's, 250k could be a drop in the bucket... PPE is one of the most important things we can purchase because WE come first. We need to make sure that we are protected, so we can do the job, right?

Thanks you for correcting me. It just wasnt phrased right. What i ment to say is that they spen the monmey on PPE and appearal. The left over money is spent on other things not needed for the fire protection service. I'm not saying PPE isnt important because it is and one day will save your life. I'm sorry for my mistake. PPE is very expensive. From what I hear, the turnout coats alone cost up to a couple thousand dollars. I think thats the same with bunkers and the airpacks. Times that by how many active members are in your department and you could spend that money in no time.
Suck-up.....Dale, missed you at class....Last week was an all time low............LOL
Dale you suck-up.....LOL Missed you at class last week...all time low.....
I'm really liking the blue SCBA and gloves. Is that for a particular reason or did the department just want blue SCBA?
Paul,

I know I hated to drop it but things here were so busy and physically and mentally drained. Well physically anywhy
You didn't miss much....it was like the class from hell......LOL
