Hello to all! Im hoping that everyones holidays were fun and safe and that everyone enjoyed it. I am in a bit of a bind and need some help from some experts. I am looking into purchasing a set of turnout gear (pants and jacket only) to use in training exercises. The problem im having is the sizing. Im about 5' 7 or 7.5" tall and wear a 34x30 pant size in civies. What would be the appropriate sizing for my turnout gear so i can still maintain mobility and my air barrirer but not be dragging the heels of the pants and looking like a short Michelin man? If someone knows and could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Sean,
You should be able to get fitted from one of your local sales rep. In our department everyone has their measurements taken & gear is tailored for the individual. We wear Globe, check out the link: http://globefiresuits.com/globe/technical-data/user-information/mea...
Hope this helps
If you are correct at 7.5" tall you can get a set from the action figures in Walmart (GI Joe).....should just about fit you....LOL...On a serious note...Remember that Bunkers should fit a little loose and you will be wearing them OVER your street clothes or over your uniform. Realistically I can see you wearing 38-40 pants with a length of 28 inches...But, every brand is different...if possible try them on before you buy them...or borrow someones to try first......Good luck....Paul
Sean...check out e-bay...I was there rooting for some stuff and they have several nice sets for sale more than reasonably...I personally like the Morning Prides that are listed and if I figured right should fit you well.....Good luck.........Paul
Thank you Paul for your help and laughs lol. I will try and find someone at a local department who can let me try on some gear and try and get a size range. I was also looking on ebay and am planning on picking up a set off line, just trying to find the size first. Again thanks for your help.
