Could be the radio, the mic, or the repeater, or even the end user. Where is the device that was doing the recording located? What model radio? Please tell me that you tested these prior to committing them to service.
The recording is done at a local 911 dispatch center. The portable is a Motorola XTS 2500. There is no repeater be used everything is done on simplex. Radio doesn`t have the noise be itself and we add the mic on it start doing it again. As far as the testing these radio were on a grant. So there was a couple weeks of testing. And no problems came out of there.
Bro, we have two new Stone Mountain Mics an have had not problems with them. If I did I would be discussing this with our Communications provider.
YUP! So true. We have had BK for 25 years. Battle tested indeed!
Hey Steve,

From your initial post, it sounds like your dealing with multiple radios and mic's? If so, the next step would be to see if you can isolate the problem to a single radio or mic.
