Stepen, relax Ladd. Dont worry about what you dont know. Focus on what you do. Go into it with an open mind and a willingness to learn. Check your attitude at the door. You'll do fine.
I agree with Chief Sharp on this one. Just relax. Its ok to be nervous going in. I certainly was! Just dont let that worry you to a point that you are sick or very distracted in everyday life. I graduated from my academy in january so i am still very fresh out of it. Theres a few tips i will give you:
1. read any chapters in the book
2. if you have a workbook/study guide make sure you keep up on it!]
3. be very attentive to your instructors, they are there for a reason and know what they are doing (most of the time lol jk)

but the main thing to remember is just have fun! its the best job in the world! i wouldnt trade it for anything!
Stepen, I just finished my academy training in June, and it was the toughest most rewarding experience i've ever been through. Like everyone has said keep an open mind. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Water will become your bestfriend in more ways than one. But, all I can tell you from experience is embrace the suck. it's going to suck bad at times, but enjoy it! It's going to be a blast!
Thank you everyone for you advice!!
