I guess you are using a what we call a stacked accordion with the nozzel sitting on a hose fold used as a ear to grab and pull the first stack and put it on your shoulder and reach around and pull the second stack and drop it on the ground for flaking until it reaches the first and it flakes off the top of the shoulder load.
What we do with ours is that we wrap one fold over the nozzel to secure and protect it. The fold below it is use as a ear to pull the shoulder load and help it clear the bed. We had times where the nozzle would hang up in the bed so we started the wrap over the nozzel to stop it.

One thing I didn't mention is that wrap over the nozzel allows for the nozzel to be be outside the bed but still secured and easy to pull. We do it with all the attack lines on our engines which all our attack lines come off the back since we designed our engines without side attack beds. We have a trash line which is a preconnected in a deep tray on the right side running board next to the pump housing for trash and car fires.

Depends are you pulling it off the truck and into a building or do you have to shoulder carry it inside and upstairs?

What is your manpower? One man or two pulling your 200' preconnect?
