People getting mad about repeat posts

I guess I don't understand why anyone gets up set about repeat posts. You open the posts up yourself. Nobody forces you to open them. There is no reason to get pissed at someone who is just asking a question. YOU DON'T HAVE TO OPEN THE POST!!!! Its almost like your trying to bust someones balls for no reason. Why?

I am now attracted to discussions started by people with unusual last names (geneology).
Topics are the least important element of the post.
Syntax and spelling are critical.
Humor will be considered insolence.
