Firefighter 1 and 2 are just basic programs. It is the continuing training and education you take that will help you become a much better firefighter over the years. Continue to educate yourself (including on safety), and take every course that you are able to. Never stop training, and never assume you know all there is to know about anything fire related, it will end up biting you in the ass. Keep up the great work, and be safe.
I just got my FIRE I back in March, looking to take my fire II at the end of May. not taking any class just readin out of my essentials book at work and at home. any idea how much more difficult 2 is than 1? Any specific topics I should go over. I was told (rescue, water systems, water supply, foam, and ics). Also I haven't done my practicals yet, are they pretty much the same as fire I? Thanks for any responses.
