I have a very simple question and if you could answers it I thank you very much.

When you reply please say who you are (Real name) Department you belong to and if you are a Chief or Deputy Chief.

The question is, does your Light and Siren help in your Response time to the Department or Scene?

If you would like to e-mail the answer to me please send it to miraroadvolfire@hotmail.com

Thank you

Art, I am Chief of Brookings Fire/Rescue, Bookings, Oregon. I have a duty response vehicle that has overhead emergency lights, emergency lights on the front and back of the vehicle. It is also equipped with a electronic siren. I presume where your going with this is to have this equipment on our private vehicle. In Oregon these things can only be used on a official vehicle. I wouldn't want to be without the vehicle when responding to emergencies. It also is equipped with a Opticon Stop light changer. This comes in handy when responding through town. When I am in my personal vehicle it is difficult getting to the station or scene in my vehicle without that equipment.
Thanks for the answer William and no sir I don't want all the on our Pov's. I am trying to have them let us use a Courtesy Light that requests the right away. At this time we have nothing to Identify us to the Public when responding to Emergencies.

Lights for Volunteer Firefighters

Thanks
Art
