Juniors being treated like 9 year old children?

So, my department treats us Juniors very well. We do all the trainings our regular members do except sometimes we do our own tasks. Like today, we did hose evolution. Was great, i got to work the nozzle, and learned alot about how to stance yourself when operating a hose like that. I now have a new respect for the senior firefighters who make it look so easy. Because I trained, i came, i saw, i worked it out.

So basically, my department tells us, we have important jobs too, we do alot, in my department we follow the Pennsylvania Junior Firefighting guidelines i suppose. And mixed with our own, basically the only thing we cant do is, enter a burning structure fire, utilize a ladder, and work hydraulic equipment, etc. So Basically, we can do outside operations on a structure fire. We also respond to MVA's. I mean, we do work, we're not stupid.
We work hard, we keep our grades up, we HELP out A LOT, some of the senior firefighters dont know how stressful it is to work our butts off, study the trucks, run the gear, pack up,
and then 5 minutes later hear someone saying "there just children, blah blah blah blah"
Like, im not complaining because like i said
My department is good about the juniors
But i see alot of places where the senior ff's look at us like we're 9 year old kids who cant do a dang thing.

when alot of them, themselves, were juniors at one time.
I think we play an important role.
Don't you?

WTF have fun in fire service I just think it will be that long when you talk to the guy who are real firefighter just not playing! You need to learn a not sit there and get piss off you have a lot to learn

Wow kid.... this is the attitude that officers and senior FF's talk about juniors having. Let me tell ya something dude... if you want to have any future it the fireservice... you better get used to people being rude ALL the time. Treating probies like crap is every senior FF's god given right simply because we all went through the same shit!!!

Dont say you dont want to start a fight then post your little smartass comments like "HMM..Wow. who posted that?" or tell a senior FF that he did something ignorant.

The fireservice IS an adult world. Like I said before... you are not a firefighter, you are a student learning about the fireservice and by the sound of it... a pretty damn cocky one

This Post is going a little too far... Don't You Think??? I do I am sorry but this is where I stick up for Brandon... You guys need to kind of back off of him.. He only asked for an opinion and you guys jumped down his throat like he is some bad person... He Just asked a specific thing and damnthing you need to learn to control your attitude as well as everyone else... This has got to stop... I am sorry... Well I am truely sorry I just don't like it how you guys are treating him at all... I realize I am not a firefighter I know I am not an adult And sorry for taking sides You tell me to control my attitude well I think it is your turn before I start respecting you... If you want respect then you need to respect others and that I have yet to see.. I am sorry.

Brandon is Right.... You need to quit being so judgemental... its not right and you tell me in this post that him and I said we were Firemen and that we were Adults... Who said anything about Music or Games tell me that.... What I do is not a GAME as you seem to think I have said and I am not about that MUSIC... So you just tell me where this is coming from because I am tired of it and now I have an attitude if you would like another one try me cause I never said anything about Being a firefighter being a GAME because it isn't SORRY...
