HEY PETE, JUST DROPPED BY TO SAY HI, HOPE ALL IS WELL, BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I'VE HEARD FROM YOU OR THAT I WROTE. BE SAFE AND TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS.
Pete, stopped by to say hi, How have you been? I've been pretty busy. nice weather coming and lots to do. Take care and be safe and God Bless you and your family.
Hi Pete,
I appreciate your welcome and comments. I happened in to the fire service via an unconventional route. I've been a flight nurse/trauma nurse for years. I did a lot of teaching for prehospital/paramedic type courses. When the educator position became available I was estatic. I wouldn't trade my digs for anything. I look forward to the friendship and networking possibilities on firefighternation. I need my kids to get me spun up on all the computer navigation. I hope you have a great day and thanks again for taking the time to touch base.
Susie

ok now I know where you are. I work in Amsterdam at Gavac. I only remember once I worked with Van Hornesville. We called them for mutual aid for a structure fire in Danube
Hi Pete
I did know Steve Wicks but not very well. 3 to 11 stinks but the Argyle school is only about 100 yards away from the firehouse so me and another custodian that is a firefighter have a good response time.
Hey Pete, thank You and believe it or not my great grandfather also came from Ireland with his wife and children in the late 1890's and settled in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn where the O'Briens lived until the 1950's then headed east stopping in Queens and then finally in Suffolk County on Long Island,Stay Safe.Tommy O'B
HI Pete: Thanks for the compliments, we are a 100% volunteer dept, yes the fire dept pays for and maintains the web site. We are our own entity, we have a board of directors that run the dept, no commisioners. We just updated our trucks with 3 new sutphen pumpers, the idea was to have 3 identical trucks so training time could be maximized.
Hey Pete,
Well thanks, its nice to know people think about us, and of course I love the site! Ive told all my friends from the fire house back home about it and they are just as excited as Iwas. Take care out there and hope to obe home soon!
Nickie
Thank you Pete for the welcome as well as your inspiring words. I happen to be extremely fortunate as the men and women serving in my dept acknowledge as well as greatly support their auxilary. They have come to show me what bravery and friendship truly is. Have a great weekend and stay safe!
