Odd Request - Wireless Emergency Lights/Sirens
I know this sounds very odd, but I was curious if anyone know whether there are wireless LED lights available that would allow our responders to alternate their lights between vehicles using battery power and suction cups without the need to plug into a 9V (this has reasons that I won't get into), and the next step which I know is a leap. But wireless sirens that are hardwired but use a wireless setup to actually easily be installed in various vehicles without having them ran into a switch box into the vehicle.
I've searched and turned up nothing, so if anyone can assist me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Bright enough lights and loud enough sirens need too much power for a small portable battery. At least until technology allow it. 9v? Never seen a vehicle with that system. Suction cups don't work well but strong magnets do. My secondary light setup is a plug in magnet rooftop style. Can easily transfer to other vehicles. TCSS

this is coming from someone who has no experience in this field whatever, but would there be a heck of a lot of interference between the siren/light and the control source? maybe it's just my unfortunate luck with my iPod on FM waves, but my songs tend to revv up when I do..

For lights I was looking for something that would use one or two 4.5v batteries, or even one, for a short response to station (which equals 9v) as they wouldn't be used for extended periods. Sirens I said I would want hard wired into the power source under the hood but I'd prefer wireless connectivity into the vehicle. I've seen a similar design a year or so ago but haven't found much on it again. It basically had a remote control that was used to control your sirens.
But again, I figured I'd try to see if it existed before I start paying the engineering students here to get me something I can patent. Ha.

i see no need for a remote light, little on remote siren . maybe a remote to silence a siren. that would be handy for a cop on a bail out chase. to kill the siren after capture of a suspect remotly.
but 15 years in service never needed any kind of remote light or siren

I don't know why anyone would need these. I suppose you could use a remote like for those remote activated fog lights you could buy. You could use that for a trigger for a relay that cuts the power on and off to the siren. Again, I don't know why anyone would need something like that.
As far as battery operated lights, LED technology has come a long way. It's plausible that in the near future there will be something soon.
