The call that got you hooked...
Just wondering what the call was that got you truly hooked on fighting fire. Most guys go out on some little calls before they get one that catches you and gets you hooked for life. What was yours?
Mine was a grass fire that when all was said and done it burned 1500 acres which included a hay field that was full of windrows waiting to be baled. It was an awesome experience.

Mine was actually when I was 13. My dad was a firefighter and one day they had a barn fire. I always went to the station to run the radio ( this was before our county had 911). I went to the station and was filling tankers as they came in for water. Finally our tanker came in and the guy driving was one of my dad's best friends. He asked me if I would like to go back out with him and of course I said yes. After watching everything going on at the scene, I knew this was for me. Oh and my dad looked kinda surprised to see me as he was at the pump when we pulled up to dump into the dump tank.
