You mean Obama isn't a Socialist? Fooled me by the policies he suggest. Not a terrorist.....That has yet to be determined, but associating with William Ayer (A domestic Terrorist) Leaders of a Palistinian movement (That doesn't scream out terrorist) with know associations to many other shady characters/organizations (ACORN) .... What part of him doesn't scream out socialist? I won't go as far as calling him a terrorist. I do believe he loves this country as much as I..... I just don't trust his inexperience, policies, and his theories of lowering taxes yet funding educational reform, creating energy independance and socialized health care. The money for those programs have to come from somewhere. OH wait whats another trillion or so to the national debt for my (our) children to inherit.. This is far from the race, hate crime propaganda you and Deano would believe we have for this man. These are real concerns, from real people. Not just people who care nothing of the real issues other than if his skin is the same as mine. That is BY FAR THE PETTIEST EXCUSE FOR VOTING A MAN/WOMAN IN FOR PRESIDENT. Is it the end of the world no.... Read the Bible for those of us that follow it (No man is going to predict the end of the world.. "It will come when you least expect it"... Can't remember the verse but it is a verse) No idae what the Koran says about the end of the world (nor do I care) but I'm sure this is not it. No Armagedon. Is the economy going to get better..... Not with his policies.... Are we safer from terrorist..... Not if he has his way w/ Our proud Military, and desire to passify the Leaders of the world who wish us evil.... And they do wish evil upon us. Am I scared to death of the man..... No, worried very much so. Okay your turn to try and come up with some real points and issues that justify a reason not to call him a socialist. Lets drop the color of his skin... That is by far the least of Americas problems
What I read on page 2 was about not trusting anyone to supports killing babies. I just saw the Armegedon thing. So I might get myself in big trouble for this one but I *think* the people quoting the bible should re-read Revelations.

As I said, for me it was the lesser of 2 evils because I couldn't fully support EITHER candidate. My house was divided so it doesn't matter, all 4 of us voted so we cancelled the other 2 out.
At least THIS time we know who has won the vote & don't have to recount several states. More people wanted one than the other. THAT always happens. We need CHANGE. We all know that.
It'll wear on me. It always does. When something gives me the "OH SH*T" factor then I have time to get used to the idea & settle in to it.
I'm glad the election is over. Hopefully, now people can find something else to talk about.

The good news, from my camp anyway is that the Fire Levy passed. Yea!! It was a renewal but it worried me that it wouldn't pass because of the economy. The 4M sports complex levy did not pass. I think 4 million is a bit much for this area although I know inflation has hit everything.
Ohio won't build a casino. I don't know why. But if I want to do that kind of thing, I'll drive 40 miles to Nitro to the Dog Track where they play table games too.
The local voters still won't allow the BPs to sell beer because it is a dry township. That was on the ballot. So the folks who drink beer will still go across the river to WV to buy it & bring it home, just like they always have. I would think the taxes would have helped the area but oh well.
No the national police force is a OH I'm going to say it " SOCIALIST IDEOLIGY" The USSR called it the KGB! Ring a bell! Hard to compare the KGB to the FBI/CIA! MY God do you follow politics at all or just vote cause he was the black guy?
Not only will he not salute it.... He doesn't agree with the pledge of alligence.... How can we have a President of America that can't even Pledge Alligence to the Flag of this great Country. Oh wait.....That is common sense speaking! What was I thinking
Who creates jobs in America? Those making less than 150,000-250,000 (Which ever one of those numbers he finaly chooses) or those making more than 150,000-200,000. Now lets look at this. If you make more than his magical number why would you invest money in expanding business, creating jobs, and reinvesting in the economy if you are going to be taxed to hell and back on it? Now for those making less than the magical number... How many of us have the money to create jobs, expand business, and reinvest in the economy. So where are these jobs coming from... Who's creating them? Is Obama/Biden going to personally hire these people?
"And Obama can’t be as bad as Bush 2 can he?"

It's possible that Obama may be much, much worse.
He ran on a "change" platform.
That change may be better, worse, or just different.

Don't discount the possibility that things will get worse just because you don't like the current President or his policies. Time will tell.
Ben Waller said "It's possible that Obama may be much, much worse.

We are in the last two days of a full parliamentary election here in New Zealand http://www.elections.org.nz/ and we have a choice of a 3rd term government lead by quite an able leader with what we have seen as a reasonably good team whose primary slogan has been that "this is about trust", or a relative new-comer to national politics who seems to have a untried and quite random team who has campaigned on the "change" slogan.

There is nothing wrong with change, as long as it isn't just change for change sake. I don't know enough about your systems to comment with any confidence, but I do believe that some of you need to get a grip and accept that the world has not come to an end with the election of Obama.
OK.

1) I don't drink- have all you want!
2) Go for the big red roos- they're the friendliest ones. They love to have their ears tickled- NOT!
3) You can have it- I reckon it's ugly!
4) You have Nicole, I'll take Megan Gale
5) Take it- it's all yours!!!!
That's some serious coin being splashed around!
That's an interesting concept from your dad...
we have young americans dying for oil needlessly

Show me 1 instance where the United States has gotten a free drop of oil from Iraq.

Whats that, you can't? Exactly!

The no blood for oil was a good sign made by a left wing liberal and adopted by many. Get over it.
So by this standard, since not many would make over 250k there would be little tax revenue generated? I wonder how he could afford to increase spending while getting less money?
