We as firefighters all feel the loss when we lose one of our own. We are all brothers and sisters in this business and my heart and prayers goes out to the family of Jon.

From the short version of the story, it appears that Jon the most died heroic death. While trying to save a life is honorable, he gave his life trying to save a child. May he now rest in peace and continue to serve as a guardian angel. Prayers shall be with his family.

We will mention this on our 9AM ET live morning internet TV show on BlogTV.com and here on my page on Firefighternation.com. I am digging up the news story now and will share it with the audience. We routinely mention LODD on our show so the public has a greater appreciation for the fire service and the sacrifices given on a daily basis.

Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to his department and his family.

I also searched newspaper sites in TN, KY and also VA, could find nothing.

I spent a good chunk of time on Google and did a boolean search and came up with zip--nothing for his department, not in his county...not in the state.
Anyone?
