People Bashing Fireman on Craigslist.com
Hey Brothers and Sisters out there. Please go to craigslist.com and check out how the public is bashing the firemen in my hometown for parking in a spot in Walmart parking lot. Walmart designated this spot for us to park in. Go to the rant and raves section and tell this idiot what you thinkk please

Would this be similar to the person who is NOT handicapped, but their partner is, but even though the handicapped partner isn't with them, they park in the handicapped spot anyway?
OR is this about someone's perception that having a "special" parking spot for the fire department isn't fair to the rest of the hardworking men and women who shop at WalMart?

People will interpret what they want and keep believing it no matter how much you try to educate them.
It's like argueing with a psych patient.
One of my rules is; never argue with a psych patient. You'll never win.
Meanwhile, no need to fuel their fire.

I hate craigslist and I don't use that term loosely. Ever since that website was caught selling women on it... yikes!
As for people ranting about firefighters, that will always happen. Take a look at facebook, there's groups (and sadly some of them started and populated solely by cops... that saddens me) for people who really dislike firefighters/matressbacks/lazyasses, whatever else they want to call us. Big deal. As I say, "Don't cry, apply!"
As for special parking spots for firefighters... umm, wait, are they shopping at Walmart with the rigs?? We can barely get in and out of the grocery stores buying our food for lunch or dinner, with our own money to cook in the kithenware that our union dues paid for, without someone complaining that we're parked there.
Some people just need something to complain about. Oh well... anger takes a lot of energy, I'd rather focus mine elsewhere.

I got a better idea.
If the cop wants the firefighter that bad, then take it up at the fire station AFTER the call.
I say that, based on the assumption that the firefighter isn't driving like a stark raving lunatic, putting the public at serious risk.
Diplomacy and tact cuts both ways.
