What a crappy weekend. Saturday we were supposed to clean out our old engine and move all the stuff to the new truck and do all the hose work that I know everyone loves. Well that was only myself and another person that showed to do that, and right as we start, a neighboring department gets a fully envolved structure fire. I was freakin, finally some action besides the automatic alarms we had all week and a code 99. I should have known we wouldnt get called for MA, and we didnt, however the company that did, flipped their salvage on its hood and skidded er about a hundred feet. No one was hurt, but if they had called us, they wouldnt be 250 g's in the hole. Sunday mornin' sucked equally as much, I knew I should have stayed home having drank the night before but I got about seven hours sleep and new I was fine so off to work I go. I get about ten miles from home and wham, fucking bambi decides that this day out of the last six years of driving that road at the same time every day, he would cut me off and total my car. So now Im stuck with no wheels and having to rely on everyone for things like getting to work and to fire calls and to see my daughter. Ill catch a bounce this week, I can feel it, I met a female fire fighter from near by and she wants to hang out sometime so hopefully this one wont tell me that the department is not my wife, she is. To a point she was right, but I was new and I felt I had to prove myself. Now that I have in some peoples eyes, I have calmed down but what can I say, when that pager chirps, Its game time. - Charley
