fire apparatus back up camera information

I am wondering if anyone has or uses back up camera's on their apparatus? If so, what info do you have about them or would recommend? Doing some research for my department.

Our 05 pierce contender has one and its the best you get a nice view of what's behind you. The camera is black and white which is easier to see during night time. The tv system does get annoying when driving it sometimes bothers your vision. So I tend to turn it off and turn on only when backing up with spotter.

On my department, we recently purchased a 2013 HME Pumper. It is 29 1/2 feet long. We have a back-up camera mounted on the rear. In my personal opinion, If you had back-up sensors on the rear of the apparatus, detecting when you're close to objects, they would be worth investing in. Personally, when we are on the scene of an incident. I prefer to have a spotter, for the safety of the public and the safety of my men.
