Sigourney and Ollie fire already called out. He up and heading down the stairs before the third page. Suddenly the siren blares through the town, I'm hoping that it doesnt wake the babies. Before the siren is done, hes gone, gone to the call of a fire. My heart skips a beat like every other time he leaves to a fire, but this time I felt different. After the nine firemen died in Charleston S.C. , a saw mill call seemed a little scary. So my mind runs over things that a young wife-to-be & mother should never have to think about. I lay in bed waiting to hear whats going on. Then the pager sounds again and the Sigourney Red Cross is called out for firefighter rehab. As my heart is skipping another beat, I pray. I pray that God would send his angels to protect our firemen and all firefighters and keep them safe from harm. And allow them to return to their loved ones. All the departments are volunteer, but so many great men leave their families to help others, and for that I am proud of my firefighter.
