They did cut back the MOS late 80's until 2001 when they realized that they needed more firefighters on the active duty side. So since then there has been 10 more firefighting detachments formed up.

At 12:06pm on May 6, 2009, Me'Licia said…: Thank you! It went pretty good. Had problems with the combitube station that caused me to fail, did a complaint and got to retest it with out any problems. Other than that it went smoothly. Now I am just waiting for my stuff to come in so I can apply for the job I wanted with an ambulance company.

The FFI is pretty straightforward. You will want to know the basics of ICS, fire behavior, building construction and a little bit of everything else. Make sure you read the book and listen to the instructor and you should do fine.
