About Me:
I have spent over 30 years of my life dedicated directly and indirectly to the practice of Fire and Life Saftey. I entered disability retirement from First Responder and subsequently became a Fire Marshal, Insurance Safety Engineer and ultimately a Consultant to Architects and Engineers relating to construction and control of hazardous chemicals in Medical Research Laboratories in CA, TN and NY.

Retired and loving every minute.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
in 1963, a newlywed, i purchased a home in the fledgling area of Dublin, CA. I was asked to be a volunteer fireman and after 8 months, I became the first paid firefighter in Dublin/San Ramon.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It provided the opportunity to Serve the Public in an atmosphere that allowed me to grow into my full potential.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Illness and Injury. Overwhelming regulations on equipment and person protection gear hampers mobility.
