Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I AM NOT afire fighter! I couldn't pass the physical for the Military in any branch,so that kind of ended any hopes for being in any SERIOUS job where I had to pass a physical. Had I been able to I probably would have however as I had a great grandfather and to grear uncles that were firefighters on the Methuen,Ma fire departmenr. Damas Chateauneuf, Gilbert Chateauneuf, and Albert Chateauneuf. I believe all three of them are inscribed on the monument wiyh the firefighters helmet on it. Unfortunately for me, I spent one year as a nursing assistant in a Fed, VA Hospital nursing service, was told that the department head and her assistant didn't feel I wa"psychologically" suited to be an NA and was terminated by tow women that apparently the female members of the staff in other departments of this hospital knew were lesbians as I was warned by a girl before my termination that it was coming! I ende up spending 15 years as a taxi driver befotr my back gave out!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
As an N/A I was doing a needed and useful job.
