"I would agree with you on the speedy recovery. But what price is a life worth? Mayor Nutter needs to talk to the previous Mayor of the small city of Erie. (Joyce Savoccio). You and I both know of the risks we take everyday . I for one have been…"
"From the photo's it appears to be an intersection with lights. Maybe they could take a lesson from Erie Fire Dept. and install a lighting control device on the Apparatus and intersections. somewhat expensive but does go a long way in preventing…"

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
When I was a kid my house caught fire and I saw what firemen did. At 14 joined as a jr. under the old Civil Defense program (1952) and never looked back. My hero was Phil Hoh a neighbor who was also a fireman and went into my burning home to find my mother. ( She was already out) He became my mentor
Why I Love Fire/EMS
ITS IN MY BLOOD
Top Issues Facing Responders:

Not much now. About to finish with a FF1 academy and then I have a live fire burn coming up in an acquired structure around middle of June.... We just purchased Scott NXG7 packs, so I have a lot of transitional training to get together for May...
Well, well old man. You still kickin' around. Not a day of service goes by that I don't think of one of the many, and I do mean many, words of wisdom you instilled in me. Many thanks.... And how the circle comes full turn... I am instructing in our local fire academy, something I watched you do a time or two. matt
