Why I Joined Fire/EMS

After September 11th, 2001 I decided that I needed work in a job that would give back and make a difference. So at 33 years old I applied to become a Volunteer Firefighter. 6 months later I graduated from the Fire Academy and 4 years later I was hired as a Career Firefighter. But, I still serve as a Voulnteer, so that I do not forget how I started in the greatest job to have the honor to work.
