About Me:
I work for a company named Temple-Inland as a Liner Board Paper Maker. I work swing shift so you can imagine it's kind of rough trying to work there and be a firefighter too. Our chief is the only full time person at this time, the rest of us are paid on call. I'm married to a beautiful understanding women (Wendy) and have 2 children. 15 year old boy (Micheal) 9 year old girl (Bailey). Oh yeah, 2 dogs and 1 cat. We own a home on the out skirts of a town with the population of 4000+

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I wanted to help people in time of need.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The idea of being trained to save someones life or home or even a pet. just makes me feel good about myself.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
With this being a small town we work more MVA's than anything. You learn real fast that a lot of people don't care who you are or what your doing. So you have to stay sharp and on your toes when working the public roadways.

Rick,
By them I'm guessing that you mean L.A. County. I don't have the number any more. I looked up L.A. County on the net and e-mailed them and asked about the test. They e-mailed me back and gave me a phone number and I called. The person I talked to could not give me any info but she took my number and a guy (I think it was a Lt.) called me. He said that he would send me some info but I never recieved any. Since then the other volly company that I run with had Drager put on a demo and they are ordering 6 to replace our MSA. If you need anything else give me a call 570-809-2124.

Rick,
I just replied to your air pack question. One thing that I did not add is that when one of the companies wanted to look into scba's, is that I called L.A. County asked about the test that they used to pick what pack they were going to purchase. They had an officer call me back and I was able to talk to him about the test. My company was to small to go thru what they did but maybe they could help you. Again good luck.
