My Training:: Completing EMT-B on August 20th, starting Fire Academy (Fire I and II) in October 2009 - Slated to start Paramedic Technology in the Fall of 2010. Completing coursework for a dual associates in Fire and Paramedic Technology with a long-term goal of completing my Bachelors Degree in Public Service and/or Fire Science.

About Me:: I am a 26 year old female who has always wanted to work in the Fire Rescue service. I took some time off to focus on being a selfish kid, but have recently returned to my roots. I have a 2 1/2 year old son who I love more than anything, and I want to give him something to look up to.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I have always wanted to give back to my community, and I love taking care of others in their time of need. I also have a great respect for the firefighting community and for fire itself.

Currently I am a student at Eastern algerinne University in in the Fire & Safety Engineering Technology Program. Although I have only been a firefighter for three years I have had my fair share of small gloves that were still too big and pants that went up to my belly button! I was wondering if you could take the time out of your busy schedule to share some of your favorite/best fitting/most functional products for female firefighters. Weather it’s an awesome fitting pair of pants, A polo shirt that has sleeves that do not go down to your elbows, a pair of great gloves, or boots that have an awesome fit.
