About Me:

I have been active in the fire department for the last 30 years, I have just retired and went back to school to finish my master degree in fire science. This is the only job that I know and I am good and love. I retired young, I got in young and retired young.My goal right now is to go into training , I feel that I have a lot to give back to the fire service .

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the fire department because my grandfather and uncle were fire fighter. This is the only job that I wanted when I was growing up.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I believe this was a calling , I don't think any one word can describe it .

Top Issues Facing Responders:

The issues that they are facing are all the cut back in the budget, They have to more with less.When they do cut back the call volume still go up not down. This in fact put more work load on the men and woman on the line at greater risk trying to do their job.
