About Me:: Single parent raising two teen-age boys, active in Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, church, community activities. Founder and president of a community music education program and orchestra. (play cello, guitar, and a little bluegrass banjo!) Raise cattle & horses. Hobbies include gardening, photography, painting, camping, fishing, travel.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Great way to help others, especially your own neighbors! Rural communities need volunteer services; we need to help each other.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: Too busy earning a living to respond to every call. Gas prices make it hard to volunteer when you serve a large area.
