About Me:
I am a husband, father, fireman, and lover of the outdoors. I'm a novice photographer, Voiceover actor, Part 107 Drone pilot, and technology buff. I caught the fire bug late in life. I enjoy educating my community, as well as individuals from different cultures and backgrounds, about the greatest career there is.
Day Job:
Deputy State Fire Marshal - CRR Division Supervisor
I began volunteering to give back to my community. Along the way, I got hooked the moment I rode backwards on my first fire call as a tailboard. " I remember feeling like a kid, heart pounding and saying wee as we rounded the corner. The cue screaming, siren blaring. I still get excited when I get a chance to ride or drive an Engine.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love my brothers and sisters, their dedication and sacrifice. The passion and desire to place your life on the line.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Retention, Decline in recruitment, Diversity, Cancer, Understanding the underreported, underserved youth firesetting problem
