Why I Joined Fire/EMS
If I didn't then who would, I have been out of high school about two years when I came up on a MVA with Multiple injuries. I was the only one there at first untrained not sure what to do at first. 911 was not in the aera at that time 0 was the only way to get help. There was a lot of stuff running through my head all at once. Then another by-stander taped me on the shoulder asked if I needed help. I said yes but what do we do. Thats when this person took over he ask me to help him. I jumped into what ever he ask I did my best to help all ,of this was taking within seconds but it seeamed that it took for ever for fire/rescue to show up. The people in the wreck lived but that day changed me for the rest of my life. See a few days after that I found out where the fire department was at and joind it cause if I didn't who would. I reflect back on that day I came upon that werck and remeber others who would not stop to help.
