After 24 years of volunteer firefighting..... I'm a probie again?

I finally am the newest firefighter on the Brookfield Fire Dept. I have to admit after all this time, and several past officer positions, it is kinda wierd starting out in a new department!
I'm sure it won't be long before I get back into the swing of things, obviously I do know already they do a few things differently than I'm used to. I'll keep you all updated as I go. As always stay safe!

Just a quick update, I found a new home with the Brookfield FD... Just got the formalities yet (app. aproval and physical) I must say it's been a while but I still miss being active with a company!

I have to agree with your comment about the lack of pride among the younger people.

It is up to people like you and me to instill things like Honor, Brotherhood and Tradition to these younger kids.

Anymore, young people just want to run lights and siren. Let's educate them on the real reason they need to be firefighters...
