About Me:
I am a 21 year old male from Horicon Wisconsin. I was born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin and I am currently on the waiting list for the Milwaukee Fire Department as well as other full-time departments. Meanwhile I am doing all of the schooling that I can while I am on Horicon Fire Department which is a "paid-on-call" department. I have a younger brother and an older sister. I don't really know my father and my mother means everything to me. I'm really big into the great outdoors. Hunting Fishing Camping 4 wheeling etc... you name it I probably have done it. I love country music and Italian food. There is much more but I don't want to bore you.
I joined the Fire/EMS on the day that I turned 18 years old. I originally wanted to join the military but due to flat feet and other various reasons that was a no go. My biggest goal in life is to help people every day. Whether it be make them laugh, help them with problems, help save a life, or help save ones property. With that being said I would also have to add that I love the thrill and adrenaline rush. When that pager goes off or that bell gongs we are walking into the unknown and hopefully defeating it.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love helping people in any way shape or form.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I believe the top issue is the amount of intentional fire being set due to the economy and insurance claims... It's getting ridiculous.
