My Training:

I Have had about all of the training for the fire department that I could possibly get the short time I have been there. I know that there is alot more to come and things that I have never seen and trained on. As for Task Force, I have had alot of training, but not nearly enough to what I need.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I have been raised around Fire, EMS, and Emergency Services. My dad has been a Firefighter since he was in high school and so has all of his brothers and my papaw. My stepdad is a Paramedic and has been an EMT since he got out of school, he is also the asst. chief at Knox County ambulance service. I love the fact that when the tone drops that someone needs me and that that is my opportunity to save someones life or even as simple as helping a child get their family pet out of the tree or a drain hole. You know, it might be the last tone that drops for me as I go to the scene of an accident or the address of a familie's home on fire but my family will know that when I died was doing something that I loved to do and I know that I will be remembered for just that.

I love the thought and the joy of helping someone or even saving their life.
