Why I Joined Fire/EMS
A friend, and FF and EMT, Dave D. talked me into it......seriously... Plus while responding, in a support role, I learned that I needed to be more involved, I needed to be one of those guys in full PPE going into the building to find the fire. The quality of the character of the people on the fire brigade made me want to be one of them.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Intense training, a feeling that you can make a difference.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Not that this has been an issue with our department but from talking with others. Lack of funding for the level of training required and equipment.

welcome aboard ,,,, the sites fun and has many interesting discussions ,,,, it's also cool seeing how other departments perform the same operations, but i love looking at the pics of different apparatus's used all over the world ,,,, word to the wise, if you trade patches be careful, there are a few people here looking to get one and not pay back ,,,, i won't mail anything till i have something in hand now, but you do what you want ,,,, my goal is not to get a patch i do not collect them ,,,, (but i do trade duty shirts from far away countries or people close that really want to trade for one of mine) ,,,, i'm just watching your back and given ya a heads-up, something all of us on the job do, it's what the brotherhood is all about ,,,, if you wanna add me as a friend, great, if not that too is OK, my message is intended to simply welcome you to the site ,,,,
