mine was a call to a dog bite, but as my partner and I arrived we new something terrible was in store, On scene the dog was found with a pick axe through the body and signs of a fight, inside the horror we found shook us both- Dead one year old and the father clinging to it just sobbing saying i couldn't get to him in time but signs of his efforts- bites and lacerations to head, face, and arms. Police on arrival couldn't believe it either. both of us call home for reassurance that everyting was Okay there.
My "First Call" showed up for a training meeting on how to use our extrication equipment. Minutes later we were tripped out for a call of a woman with a broken arm. When we arrived the arm wasn’t broken but severed and the woman was trapped in the van on the side of a steep embankment. So we all received firsthand experience on how to use the extrication equipment.
