Married with 6 grown boys, like to relax with reading, writing, some TV and exercise. Have been in inspection and investigation services since 1987. Left the floor in 1996.

Code enforcement inspections, pre fire planning inspections and arson investigations.

Wanted to help and protect people.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

The satisfaction of making the best from a bad situation and teaching citizens about the whys of fire prevention through code inspections.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Budget cuts and clawbacks.
The coming loss of key experienced personnel to retirement. Most baby boomers will be gone in the next 5 years. Training is great by all the experience will be lost. Mentoring recruits will be a challenge.
