Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I wanted an exciting job in the early 90's. I didnt want to be sitting behind a desk for my career and I tried volunteering as a firefighter. I loved it from the first day I showed up for training. Almost 20 years later, I still very much enjoy coming to work!

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Diversity in our populations and our members. Here in Florida, we have so many different nationalities and languages, we find ourselves treating people everyday that don't speak English. Major communication problems.
