About Me:
After spending 6yrs as a volunteer, and some elapsed time in between, I am now a Safety Advisor for a Heavy Construction Co where my fire knowledge has been well used and recieved. I have just spent 16 mth on a roading project doing 3 weeks on 1 off FIFO (Fly in - Fly out) and am now on another project closer to home which should last till Xmas. We have to shift 2 Million Cubic metre of fill to allow for a waste treatment plant to be built.
I have two sons, both of which have followed me by joining a Volunteer Fire Brigade in Newman, Western Australia. Newman is a mining town, 1200 km north of Perth so I don't get to see them too much. My wife of 35 yrs is very long suffering with my hobby of collecting die cast fire engines (90 so far) but is truly understanding about our passion for helping others the way we can through involvement in the fire service and now through safety.
