I have 36 year of experance in EMS and the Fire Recque serviec. A now after retiremet from the Dept. of Correction, have the dream job of working as a Fire Capt. at the West Almanor Fire Dept. A dream come true.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

At 17 Calfire was then Calif Dept of foresty. No Nomex and very new the structure end of the game. 1973 was the last year the dept. lookd as it self and just wildland fire. I Love doing what I do. My wife (God Bless Her) gives me a hard time becuase I spend more time at the Fire House than the chorse at home. The Happiest I am is when the fire is hotest or the medical is the worst.
