About Me:
I began my firefighting career with Shannon Township when I lived in Atchison, Kansas where I taught in the Grade Schools for eight years. After moving to Edwardsville, Kansas I joined the Edwardsville Fire Dept. working there as a volunteer firefighter. I received my EMS (First Responder and EMT-Basic) training at Johnson County Community College. I continued to work with Edwardsville Fire as a Part-Time EMT/FF. I also worked with Bonner Springs, Kansas - EMS as an EMT. As I continued my training, I became a Kansas Certified EMT I/D and later a Training Officer and Instructor Coordinator. I currently am the Instructor/Coordinator for the EMS Dept. at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas. I work as a volunteer EMT/FF and as the Chaplain for Bourbon County Fire District # 3, where I have received training in CISM.
